Within the scope of this bachelor project, a simple mobile robot is to be constructed from a kit and equipped with an Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system. The aim is for the robot to follow a vehicle in front at a constant distance without knowing its speed profile. For this purpose, the robot must be equipped with additional sensors and the control algorithm must be designed. The project management character of the bachelor project requires precise planning of the work packages. These are processed in the team together or distributed. The robot/microcontroller is programmed using C and does not require any previous knowledge on the part of the students. The final challenge is a challenge in which the teams have to complete the task with the least possible deviation from the target.
