Visit from Technaid SL

On April 24th, we were excited to welcome Elkyn Belalcazar, representative of Technaid SL, to out institute. The visit was a welcome opportunity to learn about Technaid's latest advancements in their lower limb exoskeleton technology, and for our team to give an insight into the ongoing research within the medical technology group.

Dr. Belalcazar's demonstration of the technical enhancements of their new Exo-H3 system provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas. The discussions were particularly fruitful in exploring future research possibilities in rehabilitation robotics. A key point of discussion was the potential integration of such advanced exoskeleton technology within initiatives like the recently started EU-funded AERIALIST research project. We are proud to be contributing to AERIALIST, with our doctoral candidate, Lucia Palumbi, undertaking dedicated research for this project at the institute.

We sincerely thank Dr. Belalcazar for the visit and the inspiring exchange, which we hope will pave the way for continued dialogue and potential research synergies.
