New Master's Program: AI-driven Mechatronics and Robotics

We are pleased to announce the new English-taught Master’s program “AI-driven Mechatronics and Robotics” at Leibniz University Hannover! The interdisciplinary programme is offered by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science. Imes is significantly involved in the development of this program.

Why this program?

In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, intelligent mechatronic systems are becoming increasingly important. The integration of Artificial Intelligence, Mechatronics, and Robotics opens up new possibilities in automation, collaborative robotics, and intelligent manufacturing, driving industrial transformation worldwide.

Autonomous systems require both physical design and intelligent decision-making. As Industry 4.0 advances, the demand for experts with a solid understanding of both fields continues to grow. The future of innovation lies in interdisciplinary collaboration at the intersection of these technologies.

Program Focus Areas

This program focuses on the interaction between mechanics, electronics, and computer science to develop technical systems in which sensory, information-processing, actuator, and mechanical functions are integrated.

It prepares students for the challenges of modern automation, robotics, and intelligent manufacturing. By combining theoretical foundations with practical applications, the program equips graduates with the necessary skills to develop and implement complex mechatronic systems.
