RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

During my time as a research associate at the Institute of Mechatronic Systems I was mainly involved in modeling and identification as well as state and parameter estimation within vehicle dynamics. Subsequently, I took over the leadership of the group "Identification & Control". Methodical focuses of this research group include the following topics:

  • system dynamics,
  • Modeling,
  • Identification,
  • Control,
  • Observer structures,
  • Machine learning,
  • optimization.

The methods mentioned above are developed and tested in versatile applications within mechatronics, such as vehicle mechatronics as well as drive and automation technology.

In teaching I try to teach some of the methods in the tutorial "Estimation of state and friction coefficient using the example of vehicle longitudinal dymics". Thereby, the necessary basics for independent scientific work in this field are laid by practical implementation.

Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions about our research and teaching activities.
