On August 28, 2024, an exciting lecture by Prof. Thomas Seel will take place as part of the SummerUni. He will illuminate the current state of the art in the development of sensorimotor Artificial Intelligence (AI) for physical interaction with the real world. Prof. Seel will address both existing technologies and future developments, showcasing examples from current research to illustrate what is already possible and what remains fiction.
Following the lecture, a joint discussion will be held to explore the impact of current and future technological developments on the freedom of individuals with and without disabilities. The discussion will particularly focus on the extent to which AI technologies can expand or restrict our freedoms.
