Description
In the theoretical lectures of control engineering practical laboratories are an important component to recognize physical principles based on mathematical descriptions.
Remote Laboratories allow the control of a real test bed via the Internet. The user controlls it via a graphical user interface, which also presents the real-time information from the test bed (a video stream and measurement data graph). In addition to the permanent availability, the limitation of defined parameter of the system is a great advantage over classical laboratory concepts. During the laboratories, students can complete challenges to receive score points depending of the fittness of their solutions. In a ranking on the main page, they can compare themselves with their fellow students to motivate them to reach higher score points in new trials.
