LUHbots Tutorium

Content

The aim of the tutorial is to gain practical experience in the field of mobile robotics and project-related teamwork. Specialist questions from environment navigation, perception and mobile manipulation must be solved. By participating in the student robotics team LUHbots, students have the opportunity to work on current industry-relevant tasks in the fields of image processing, autonomous driving and path planning. The hardware basis is provided by the mobile platform youBot, supplemented by a five-axis robot arm with gripper and additional sensors (for example camera and laser scanner). Programming is done using the software framework ROS (Robot Operating System).

In addition to the programming-related tasks, the students also work on organizational topics such as project planning, sponsor acquisition, event management and external presentation. In addition, participation in national and international competitions in the RoboCup @ work league is possible if successful. Finally, a presentation of the results. The tutorial is offered every semester.
