On December 1 and 2, 2023, the event "Leibniz UniverCity - Uni in der Stadt" took place at aufhof in Hanover, where Leibniz University Hannover presented its diverse range of research, teaching and continuing education. Visitors were able to take part in exciting experiments, lectures, exhibitions and games and exchange ideas with scientists.
One highlight was the panel discussion "Engineering Body Parts: Technologies for body use", in which Prof. Dr. Thomas Seel from imes also took part. The discussion focused on the interface between medicine, biology and engineering, minimally invasive surgery and the development of implants and prostheses. The experts from various areas of medical technology presented their current research projects and discussed the challenges and opportunities of these innovative technologies.
